Super Mom!
Some days I can get so much stuff done and I feel like super Mom. Today I got up early (which is my goal everyday, I just never actually do it) and had some time to myself before the kids woke up. I prepped everything for my first really big playdate for my mommies group. The playdate is called Boogie Woogie Babies and has a different music theme each time. We have all sorts of fun activities for the kiddies like floatie scarves, bubbles, shakers, streamers, all sorts of cool stuff. I got the kids all fed and dressed and everything packed up in the car since my playdate was at the library. I wanted to get there fifteen minutes early, but instead got there right on time. Better than being late, I guess. My first Boogie Woogie Babies was a big success! All the moms really seemed to enjoy themselves and it was great seeing all the kids running around having such a great time.
After the playdate was over I took the kids over to Ikea. My in-laws are coming to visit tomorrow and I wanted to make sure that we have a good guest bed for them. Ikea has an awesome day bed in the Hemnes series (actually it has two, but one is cheaper than the other) that suits my needs perfectly. It has three drawers for storage and pulls out to make a bed to sleep two people very comfortably. The kids and I had lunch in Ikea and picked up the bed plus two mattress’s. I hope the bed is comfortable for my hubbies folks. I was going to try and get one of these beds off of Craigslist to try and save money, but buying new gives me peace of mind that I’m not bringing any little creepy crawlies into my home.
By the time we left Ikea it was almost three, well after the start of nap time. Both the kids conked out in the car on the way home. I didn’t want to wake them and I figured since I was in the garage anyway I may as well bring some boxes into the house to be unpacked. (We still have a ton of boxes in the garage that need to be unpacked.) So I spent a good chunk of time bringing big boxes into my family room until first Hunter then Trent woke up. Luckily Britten got home from work and she watched the kids a little longer for me so I could bring more stuff into the house. We rested for a few minutes after that and then made dinner. Trent helped a little. After dinner I brought almost all the box’s into my bedroom. I had a very productive day today!
