Stepping Up to the Plate
The mommies group that I am a part of has a lot of sub-groups. Since we are moving soon I joined the sub-group for our new area only to discover that there is really nothing going on there. I was speaking with the leader of the Joy Troupe and she said she doesn’t know what happened to the woman who had been organizing and that nothing has been going on for months and months. I decided I may as well try my hand at being a group leader. We’ll see if I can handle it. I figure, if anything, even if I don’t do a great job it is still better than the nothing that is going on now. I would really like to build up the community of other mothers that I am joining. I’ve got a few ideas about what I want to do, but for now it all has to be on hold until our move in the beginning of October.
